JACLYN MARIE TEJEDA
UNL Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design Master’s Option II Project
Jaclyn received the UNL Chancellor’s Fellowship for her graduate career and will finish her master’s program in May 2021. Her focus is on Textiles, Technology and Teaching. She has been researching traditional textile techniques, 3D Body Scanning, Virtual Reality and their implications in Textile Learning Environments. Jaclyn has taught TMFD Product Development I and II at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is an entrepreneur and inventor. She owns a textile recycling company called the Black Market Clothing Exchange SEW in South Lincoln and received a United States patent for Garment with Integrated Speakers. She is a devoted wife and a mother. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, volunteering at her children’s school, sewing and making her community a better place.
